Job Summary

The STEPS Registered Dietitian Consultant (RDC) will meet individually with University of Kentucky students who are struggling with their relationship with food. Whether an eating disorder, disordered eating or other eating concerns, the RDC will help the student explore their thoughts about food, body and/or movement, their eating behaviors and barriers to recovery.

Individualized recommendations will be made in regards to nutritional needs, meal planning and weight restoration, as needed. The RDC will also collaborate and consult with treatment team members on client care and coordination.

Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.

Ability to utilize an evidence-based, weight-inclusive philosophy. Focus on well-being independent of weight through a non-diet, Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating approach.
