Job Summary
Perform routine scientific tasks in a biomedical lab under close supervision or from detailed and controlled lab procedures. Assist in preparing and executing laboratory experiments, data collection, mouse colony breeding, genotyping (by DNA and RNA extraction and PCR and RTPCR), and analysis as assigned.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
• Basic understanding of biology or related scientific coursework
• Interest in biomedical research and willingness to learn laboratory techniques
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and established laboratory protocols
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email)
• Ability to work independently under supervision and as part of a team
• Professional behavior and reliability
• Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and around research animals under supervision
