Job Summary

Read work orders returned by maintenance technicians to prepare bills for the work done and money spent on materials.

There are several different labor rates and uploads for materials. You will read the work description and rewrite it in complete sentences, sometimes remedying grammar errors and filling in missing details by reading the receipts for the materials purchased for the job.

The bill is created in an online system called Appfolio. Accounting and Maintenance people sit nearby so you can ask questions about particular line items or jobs. This will be an ongoing job with about the same workload each week.

Additional Info: If hired, you will have a desk and a desktop computer in the main area where you can interact with people who know the company and the work. We are business casual, scent free (no perfumes), and animal friendly (expect small dogs in the office).

- Touch typing and general Windows computer skills are needed to interface with the online Appfolio system.
- The candidate should be able to read, write, and understand colloquial English.
- Being able to do simple math, such as multiplying an hourly billing rate by the number of hours worked.

PREFERRED Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- A general knowledge of a handyman’s world would be helpful, along with the ability to think logically and fill in gaps where they may exist in a technician’s narrative.
