Preferred Education/Experience

Previous babysitting experience and any relevant trainings (CPR certification, healthcare or teaching career plans, etc.). Teaching or tutoring experience or interest in teaching is required, along with the ability to easily commute to SE Lexington and to safely transport a child (we will provide a booster seat). To check the commute, map to the Lexington Sporting Club Stadium.



Hours per Week

7-14 hours a week. Hours can vary week to week but consist of help at least 2 afternoons per week approximately 2:30-6 pm.



Job Summary

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.

We are seeking a qualified babysitter/tutor/nanny primarily for our 8 year old daughter. Hours can vary week to week but consist of help at least 2 afternoons per week approximately 2:30-6 pm. Primary responsibilities consist of arriving at her elementary in SE Lexington school for pickup at 2:30 pm; driving her to our home in SE Lexington near the soccer stadium (must have a safe, reliable car); then overseeing snack, exercise, homework, & chore time between 3- 6pm. We will pickup our 5 year old son in that time frame & he may join you some days between 4-6pm. Our daughter is gifted & needs enrichment academics at home, so you can teach as you enjoy without having to help with required homework. She is working this year (third grade) on skills like basic multiplication and critical reading. Preferred school pickup days are Mondays and Fridays, with Thursdays as a third option, but days may be negotiable around a student’s class schedule.
