Job Summary

Position Overview



The College of Fine Arts seeks an enthusiastic and detail-oriented student worker to help plan our college’s 50th anniversary celebration (2026-2027 academic year) throughout this academic year. This opportunity will allow you to dive deep into the college’s rich history while developing valuable skills in research, communications, and project management. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and passionate about our college, storytelling, and campus community engagement.



Key Responsibilities



Historical Research & Archives



· Research University of Kentucky archives to locate historical photographs, documents, and memorabilia

· Organize and catalog historical assets for anniversary materials and displays

· Interview alumni, retired faculty, and long-time staff to gather stories and memories

· Compile timelines of significant college milestones and achievements


Visual Communications & Displays



· Review existing interior and exterior signage including wayfinding and support the development of new wayfinding based on benchmarks and student feedback

· Design concepts for interior signage celebrating college history and milestones

· Suggest locations and content for anniversary displays throughout College facilities

· Coordinate with anniversary planning committee to support existing anniversary event efforts


Social Media & Digital Engagement



· Develop a social media campaign across multiple platforms

· Create engaging content including “This Day in History” posts, alumni spotlights, and milestone celebrations

· Create posts highlighting historical photos, achievements, and fun facts
