POSITIONS:Summer School Coordinator - 2 positions
REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of MTSS and Executive Director of Post-Secondary Readiness and Alternative Programming
POSITION SUMMARY:
In partnership with the Assistant Director of MTSS and Executive Director of Post-Secondary Readiness and Alternative Programming, the Summer School Coordinator will organize, plan, coordinate, streamline and troubleshoot the Hartford Public Schools district-wide summer school program. The responsibilities will include coordination of the following services: budget, staffing, transportation, student and staff attendance, student issues, support staff, student registration, IEP compliance, security, facilities management, district wide program assessment, professional development, payroll and salary.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Ability to analyze information; prepare reports; and create presentations
• Familiarity with operating procedures of the Hartford Public Schools.
• Knowledge of statistics and assessments.
• Knowledge of budget process and payroll procedures.
• Knowledge of curriculum, special services, intervention and resource programs, as well as enrichment programs.
• Teaching experience in a variety of settings and levels.
• Proficiency in personal computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to oversee operations and comply with deadlines.
• Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively with school, support personnel, community, parents and students.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Valid Connecticut certification requirements for appropriate grade levels. Intermediate Administration and Supervision certification (092), preferred.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The rate of pay will be $40.00 per hour. No paid holidays, vacation, or sick days during the schedule program period.
