Overview
LMI is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Solutions, Senior Consultant to provide onsite support to the Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) to provide logistics expertise, process improvement, and analytical support. This role focuses on enhancing aviation readiness by analyzing supply chain processes, resolving logistics challenges, and implementing advanced inventory strategies for spares optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the operational readiness of HMX-1’s mission-critical assets, including vertical airlift support for the President, Vice President, and other distinguished personnel.
This position is onsite at Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA, requiring expertise in supply chain logistics, aviation supply systems, and proficiency with complex logistics processes.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Aviation Supply and Logistics Management:
- Apply logistics expertise to manage aviation supply chain processes while adhering to government supply procedures, including NALCOMIS, MALSP/MALSP II, and Navy ERP systems.
- Perform causative research for inventory discrepancies, pre-inventory reviews, and file reconciliations. Generate inventory discrepancy aids, conduct analyses, and provide recommendations on optimal solutions.
- Evaluate readiness impacts from demand patterns, systemic barriers, parts obsolescence, and long lead times for critical weapon systems.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze performance metrics and supply chain data to assess readiness and execution efficiency.
- Prepare presentations, briefings, and reports on key supply chain issues, including Mission Capability (MC) and Full Mission Capability (FMC) rates.
- Develop tools to identify trends, barriers, and solutions impacting logistics readiness.
- Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:
- Support process improvement events to review and streamline business practices, promote efficiency, and align logistics policies with operational goals.
- Recommend changes to allowance products, stock level adjustments, and other supply chain strategies to maximize fleet readiness.
- Assist in the development of integration strategies for aviation supply information technology systems.
- Inventory and Financial Management Support:
- Validate, correct, and reconcile financial and material transactions by analyzing Transaction Item Reporting (TIR) data, material file discrepancies, and Material Outstanding Files (MOF).
- Manage carcass tracking processes and support allocation adjustments for Broad Arrow, NORS/ANORS, PMCS/NMCS, and other requisition priorities.
- Collaborate with NAVSUP-WSS, DLA, and other entities to expedite shipments and address high-priority requests.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Act as a senior technical advisor, providing logistics expertise during cross-functional team meetings, strategic planning efforts, and inventory inspections.
- Assist with training personnel on logistics systems, tools, and methodologies to sustain mission readiness.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or similar discipline. Equivalent military experience may be considered.
- 10+ plus years’ experience in DoD logistics and supply chain management.
- Proven background working with Navy/Marine Corps logistics systems (e.g., NALCOMIS, MALSP, ERP).
- Extensive knowledge of readiness metrics, logistics systems, inventory analysis methods, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Strong understanding of inventory management techniques, including COLT and PDL processes.
- Knowledge of commercially based advanced modeling, networking, scheduling and inventory optimization systems and techniques in order to support development of supply, inventory management, and distribution policy to improve materiel management of spare part inventories.
- Good quantitative and analytical skills

- High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry
- Availability for occasional travel.
- This position requires an active security clearance at the TS/SCI level. You must be a US citizen.
