Monitors network and server infrastructure and makes recommendations for performance and security.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Provides installation and support for the server infrastructure, which includes, Virtual platforms and multiple operating system such as Windows Server Microsoft SQL, vendor supported Linux appliances, VoIP Phone systems, and Azure cloud infrastructure/networking.Responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s servers including data backups, recovery, and failover.Responsible for design of Active Directory Users and Groups, Azure Active Directory, and mobile device management.Responsible for patch management for servers, and appliances.Analyzes network and operating system to monitor reliability, performance and projected growth with applications like Solar Winds, and vRealize Operations Manager.Make recommendations for network and server upgrades that may improve the performance and security.Maintain web and email filtering and firewall rules.Maintains accurate data flow diagrams.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:ExperienceWorking knowledge of Windows Operating System. Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.Education/Certifications/LicensesA bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).Interpersonal SkillsThe ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.Other Skills:Microsoft software, computer system hardware and software, LAN, WAN, VoIP solutions, PCs and peripherals, Microsoft Server software, Microsoft Exchange.
