Technical Project Delivery Manager
Fidelity Investments Workplace Solutions (WS) organization is looking for a Technical Project Manager. This position will be in support of our late-stage private market business. The project manager will be responsible for coordinating the work needed to achieve business and technical requirements' development, analysis, effort and cost estimates, scheduling, design, implementation, testing, approvals.
The Team
You will be part of the technology team in Stock Plan Services business unit that administers equity compensation programs on behalf of public and private companies offering various compensations programs such as: Employee Stock Purchase Plans, Restricted Stock Awards/Units, Stock Option Plans, Stock Appreciation Rights and Performance based Awards. Currently SPS services approx. 2M participants employed by over 900 clients and spread out in 150 countries.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.
- 12+ years of proven experience in Information Technology
- Software Development, Engineering Management, Project Management, Program Management functions
- Solid grasp of and experience with modern software development practices and processes
- Practical and related experiences in software engineering and technology project management
- You discover requirements by engaging with customers and facilitating discussions that identify the problem to be solved
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to understand complex customer needs and transactions
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to independently analyze needs and impact of changes to the Production environment
- Experience in running and leading large, sophisticated projects to keep track of all deliverables and features and dependencies.
- Detailed understanding of scope, change, problem and project management principles and methodologies.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to understand complex customer needs and transactions.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
- Participate in refining Epics (Features) and defining acceptance criteria and E2E validation points
- Outstanding verbal and written skills which include planning, scheduling, coordinating and prioritizing.
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team while maintaining speed and agility.
- Your ability and passion for leading tech teams and mentor junior engineers
- Your ability to collaborate with other technical and business specialists in the team
- Your experience in executing projects in an Agile environment.
- Your ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and patterns
- Your passion to nurture modern test driven and automation driven software development methodologies

- Partner with the Business Change Enablement organization and technology chapters
- Impact analysis and communications of changes across development teams and manage delivery calendar
- Facilitate planning and analysis of work in upcoming increments and quarters
- Work with Product Management, Product Owners and other value stream partners to help assure strategy and execution alignment
- Monitor development for bottlenecks and provide guidance on addressing same
- Responsible for the work flow of all committed features and work items
- Support the Product Management and Architecture teams with customers both internal and external to gather product feature requirements and act as liaison between customer and design team
- Receive job status information from all team members and ensure all work items are up to date in our chosen system of record
- Promote smooth workflow and communication between departments
- Create and manage delivery calendar for each Program Increment
- Ensure workflow progresses efficiently and work items/staff are organized as priorities shift
- Maintain and update the Program Increment work status and run weekly team sync meetings
- Help enhance and improve department processes
- Work with Product Managers and Change Enablement on communication of consolidated PI achievements and readiness artifacts
- Ability to work in a matrix environment across multi-functional teams
