Shift

Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. This is an exempt position, therefore other days/times may be necessary to complete work assignments.

Job Summary

The purpose of the Center on Trauma and Children is to train (through events, trainings, etc.), caregivers to facilitate child and family recovery from psychological trauma; to develop a clinical nucleus for clinical training and dissemination.

This position will:
• Serve as Master Trainer and oversee training activities of junior training staff;
• Coordinate and Provide highly specialized training to a wide variety of professional groups
• Provides oversight and mentor other trainers;
• Conduct and utilize evaluation to improve training curriculum and delivery of content;
• Provide highly specialized technical expertise to the Comprehensive Assessment and Training Services project, under the guidance of the principal investigators;
• Provide highly specialized clinical assessment and intervention services to children and families, which include psychological and developmental examinations;
• Supervise clinical team members, including master and doctoral level clinicians, be a key decision-maker in prioritizing the clinical workload, oversee the generation of reports to the Cabinet to aid in making decisions or treatment plans, conduct psychological testing, and testify in court as an expert witness;
• Make placement decisions, train, and provide clinical supervision of students and residents who are functioning as members of the clinical team. Lead weekly supervision and protocol fidelity monitoring sessions.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Experience providing trainings to diverse groups. Knowledge of child traumatic stress, trauma informed care. Experience providing trauma informed services.

Preferred Education/Experience

Masters or PhD in Psychology, Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field preferred.
