Description

Under broad supervision, responsible for assessing, planning and/or coordinating training sessions for an agency. Performs end-to-end learning and development. Evaluates training and learning outcomes in relation to functional and/or technical training activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • As a team member or individually, participates in the development of conferences, instructive seminars, presentations and speeches for community and civic organizations and the general public
  • Identifies training needs, providing guidance and training to customers or less experienced staff
  • Produces videos, pictures, and photographs for use in support of training, marketing, and presentations
  • Provides related services such as scheduling of training, maintaining records, bidding out contract work, and setting up/checking equipment
  • Serves as a resource in the development and implementation of outreach communication

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED AND Two years of experience providing educational, training, or instructional services in functional area; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Training & Development Specialist 1 (GSP120).

Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants who in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess the following:

  • Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation (HSEEP) Certification
  • Training and Exercise Certification
  • Incident Command System (ICS) training

Salary range

  • $45,000 - $50,142
