Position Summary
TriStar JCB currently has an opening for a Parts Advisor to support our aftermarket business and growth. Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Advisor is responsible for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal staff while handling parts inquiries, orders, sales, keeping track of inventory shipments, and all other associated departmental tasks to support the various types of heavy machinery, aerial equipment, generators, and other equipment for construction,
industrial, agricultural and government applications. Always providing the best customer service possible, this role is external facing while focusing on customer uptime through utilizing the broad range of resources provided by TriStar JCB as an authorized dealer.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills – ability to think outside the box
• Strong interpersonal and team working skills
• Excellent oral and written communication with an emphasis on phone skills
• Ability to take direction well and work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
• Handles inbound parts inquiries for customers.
• Research and places parts orders from JCB and various vendors
• Direct ships parts to customers where appropriate
• Handles all customer inquiries in an efficient and responsive manner.
• Maintains parts inventory.
• Research and advise technicians of parts and orders.
• Initiates sales calls to existing customers to replenish inventory.
