The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to join our Wealth Solutions Engineering organization, focusing on our Financial Planning & Advice offering. The mission of this offering is to help customers explore and act on key financial decisions. You will play a crucial role in shaping Fidelity’s digital presence.

Develop best-in-class web user experiences and the underlying platforms supporting our digital presence.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

Bachelor's / master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering.
5+ years of experience with modern MV*/SPA JavaScript frameworks (Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS)
Hands-on with API Design & Development and Microservices Architecture (Java, REST, NodeJS, Swagger)
Experience with Test automation (Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright) Unit, Integration and Functional Tests
Champion and advocate of Test-Driven Development, Unit testing using frameworks and tools like Jest and Jasmine
Proficiency with AWS services for deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
Have worked in an Agile software delivery environment in both a small team and independently.
Ability to troubleshoot and work on production issues utilizing various tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
Fully hands on with application builds and deploys using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, antifactory, uDeploy, GitHub, etc.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time.
Proven technical design, development, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Passionate and committed to learning new things and developing with the latest technologies and frameworks.
Experience in implementing Micro services Architecture & building / deploying highly automated, scalable and maintainable infrastructure.

You will help navigate new technologies and cloud-based deployments to help deliver high value to our business
You will work towards continuous process improvement initiatives
You will perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open-Source frameworks.
You will proactively lead process and technology improvement initiatives
You will stay on top of the latest engineering trends and practices and bring them back to the team when appropriate
You will mentor junior team members

The Wealth Solutions Engineering organization provides technology expertise, talent and standards in many areas of Fidelity Wealth business unit including Financial Planning & Advice, Investment Products, Managed Solutions, Life Insurance and large-scale platform development & operation. As engineer on our team, you will have a direct and positive impact on Fidelity’s customers. The industry leading products and ever-evolving technology stack that we support ensures a great learning culture in the team.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $45.00-$75.00 per hour.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles. Some roles may have unique onsite requirements. Please consult with your recruiter for the specific expectations for this position.
