Job Summary

The undergraduate research assistant will support ongoing entomology research through a mix of hands-on field and laboratory work. Field work responsibilities will include traveling to field sites for weekly trap setup, maintenance, and collection as well as berry sampling. Laboratory responsibilities will include maintaining fly lines and colonies, processing trap samples, helping with experimental setup (prepping flies), and contributing to overall lab upkeep. Overall, this position provides many opportunities to gain real research experience, while also building skills in insect physiology and ecology, data collection, and experimental setup and design.
