User Experience, PDF Designer – Financial Services
We are looking for a highly skilled PDF Designer who is beginning to develop their career in UX Design. This person will have experience in the financial services industry, specifically in creating visually engaging and data-driven portfolio construction materials for financial advisors and their clients.
This role involves designing client-ready documents that clearly communicate investment strategies, asset allocations, risk profiles, and performance metrics in a professional and compliant format. There will be associated UX design asks, and you be working closely with a Principal level designer to execute UX vision and build your UX design skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce high-quality, branded PDFs that support portfolio construction discussions between financial advisors and clients.
- Collaborate with investment strategists, product owners, and agile teams to translate complex portfolio data into clear, compelling visual formats.
- Create templates and layouts for investment proposals, model portfolios, asset allocation summaries, and performance reports.
- Incorporate charts, graphs, and infographics that effectively communicate portfolio diversification, risk-return tradeoffs, and investment rationale.
- Ensure all materials are compliant with regulatory standards and accessible for digital and print distribution.
- Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and ensure accuracy of financial data and disclosures.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years UX Design background with a strong knowledge of creating and editing Figma prototypes
- 5+ years of experience designing financial documents, preferably focused on investment or portfolio-related content.
- Strong understanding of investment concepts such as asset allocation, diversification, risk tolerance, and performance metrics.
- Ability to interpret and visualize complex data sets in a client-friendly format.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements for financial communications (e.g., FINRA, SEC).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards
- PDF Development skills a plus
