We are looking for a Part-Time UX Researcher to support our team in gathering insights that shape our digital experiences. This role will help inform design and product decisions by conducting research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points. This role will play a critical role in uncovering user needs and shaping the design of our digital products at AutoNation. By conducting generative and evaluative mixed-methods user research, establishing user journeys and flows, and interviewing customers, this individual will contribute to creating user-centric experiences that drive customer satisfaction and business success. You’ll work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure our digital products align with user expectations and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with customers to understand their motivations, goals, pain points, and satisfaction levels with our products and services.
  • Synthesize interview findings to identify key insights and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to integrate research findings into design solutions.
  • Assist in defining and refining research methodologies based on project needs.
  • Apply strong quantitative analysis skills to analyze data collected from surveys, usability tests, and other quantitative research methods.
  • Use statistical analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in user data.
  • Present recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a research repository to track key insights over time.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in UX research, usability testing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Experience with user testing platforms such as UseBerry, Maze, UserInterviews or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with digital product design and user experience principles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present research findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to conduct in-depth interviews with customers to uncover insights and pain points.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing user journeys and flows to enhance digital experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
