Fidelity IWMS is seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture strategy for our Data, Reporting, and Integrations domain. You’ll collaborate with Product Area Leaders, Chapter Leaders, and Squads to design scalable, secure, and modern solutions that support our digital transformation
At Fidelity Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS), we are seeking a seasoned data architect to lead the end-to-end architecture strategy for our Data, Reporting, and Integrations domain. In this individual contributor role, you will define and implement data, AI/ML, and large language model (LLM) strategies to support our products and business initiatives. You’ll collaborate with Product Area Leaders, Chapter Leaders, and Squads to design scalable, secure, and modern data solutions that support our digital transformation needs.
You will lead cross-functional efforts across product teams, business units, and enterprise technology groups, partnering with business leaders, architects, and engineers to shape and execute our data strategy. This role requires deep domain expertise, hands-on data design and modeling, and the ability to deliver scalable, AI-driven data solutions.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Education: Bachelors or Master's degree required.
- Experience:
- 10+ years in technology, with at least 5 years in data architecture, analytics, reporting and cloud-based technologies.
- Proven experience integrating AI/ML and LLM technologies into enterprise solutions.
- Financial services experience preferred; knowledge of clearing and custody is a plus.
- Technical Leadership:
- Expertise in designing cloud-native, high-throughput, distributed platforms.
- Ability to define and communicate strategic direction across domains / organizations.
- Demonstrated success in delivering critical business outcomes through data solutions.
- Data Architecture:
- Strong background in data integration, governance, security, warehousing, analytics, metadata management, and data quality.
- Proficiency in data modeling, architecture blueprints, and data movement strategies.
- Strong ability to understand business domain, ask to translate it formidable acceptable solution
- AI/ML & LLM Integration:
- Ability to define and implement cost-effective, scalable AI/ML and LLM solutions aligned with business goals.
- Architecture & Design:
- Deep understanding of architectural patterns such as APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and client-server models.
- Solid grasp of cloud services and integration patterns.
- Define and adhere to architecture principles and guidelines
- Innovation & Collaboration:
- Experience with prototyping, pilots, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
- Proven ability to work with product teams, architects, engineers, and data scientists to deliver integrated solutions.
- Communication & Influence:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Hold regular technical sessions with peers/teams
The Team
The IWMS Architecture team provides deep technical expertise and guidance across the engineering organization. As a Vice President and Lead Data Architect, you will collaborate with solution and enterprise integration architects to define and promote common data solutions that address integration challenges. You will work closely with product teams to ensure technology investments align with business goals. Our team operates in a fast-paced, agile environment that values innovation, collaboration, and customer-centric thinking.
