Job Description:

This role is responsible for driving large programs with an end-to-end strategic focus. The role needs someone comfortable with risk and security. The initial program for the role will be the strategic direction and implementation of the API Ecosystem Simplification program. This leader will partner across teams and business units to ensure alignment and drive consistency and security in architecture implementations across the enterprise. Steers program direction with executive level leadership team. Provides clarity and guidance to team members on competing priorities, work sequencing, and impediment removal.

The Expertise You Have

  • 15+ years of proven experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development of enterprise solutions in multiple technology platforms, frameworks and languages.

  • Proven leadership in an architecture organization, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and partner with engineering and product teams to deliver scalable robust solutions.

  • Proven understanding of non-functional requirements, a risk-based mindset to designs and strong security knowledge.

  • Understanding of financial services technology architecture including brokerage, capital markets, and related middle-office systems.

  • Experience with designing and implementing solutions with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP).

  • Deep understanding of enterprise security architecture including secure API design, and regulatory compliance in financial services.

  • Experience with Agile delivery.

  • Experience with REST, GraphQL, and other API types

  • You stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and architectural approaches.

  • Ability to build consensus across differing opinions where there is no single correct answer.

  • Expert communication skills with the ability to partner with associates across the organization to positively influence partners and key technology decision makers.
