The Vice President (VP) Corporate Program Management is an exciting newly created role within the Company. This position is critical for managing our program development lifecycle, from conception through launch and beyond. The VP of Program Management will play a pivotal role in tracking and managing third-party development vendor schedules, internal development initiatives, and research projects. They will be responsible for structuring comprehensive corporate reports and facilitating monthly meetings to provide status updates on all projects/products, encapsulating budget figures, key performance indicators (KPIs), and project blockers. By closely coordinating project statuses with the Operations and R&D teams and managing corporate-level programs for the smooth integration of systems post-acquisition, the selected candidate will ensure Lexitas remains at the forefront of innovation and efficiency in the legal support services industry. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the VP of Program Management will be an essential figure in steering the company's technological and operational strategies toward success.

Essential Functions: 

  • Facilitate the strategic planning, development, and project execution of the organization's technology product strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Manage and optimize project schedules for both external third-party development vendors and internal teams, conducting comprehensive quarterly assessments to ensure vendor performance and project alignment.
  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate key project risks, implementing effective solutions to guarantee on-time and within-budget delivery of project outcomes.
  • Develop and present detailed corporate reports during monthly meetings, offering insights into the status of all projects and programs, including budget adherence, key performance indicators (KPIs), and identified project challenges.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between Operations, Research, and Development teams, promoting interdepartmental synergy and ensuring unified progress toward organizational objectives.
  • Oversee corporate-level programs for integrating systems of acquired companies into the division's standard operating platforms, including the preparation of standard corporate reports shared monthly.
  • Provide direct, timely, and insightful reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on project progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations to enhance project success.
  • Liaise closely with the Accounting department to ensure that all project and migration budgets are accurately tracked, managed, and reported against, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain budget tracking reports and processes in partnership with Accounting to provide real-time visibility into project expenditures, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to allocated budgets.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • In-depth understanding of Agile and/or Lean methodologies is critical, with proven experience in applying these processes to streamline project development and execution.
  • Knowledge of the legal support services industry and its regulatory environment is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the Accounting department for budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Experience with financial management for projects, including budget forecasting, expenditure tracking, and variance analysis.
  • High level of adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program or project management roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in IT Sector or SaaS Projects with technology teams.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and management of development, acquisition integration, integration, and research initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management, multitasking, and budgeting skills.
  • Experience in working with third-party vendors and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the integration of systems and processes post-acquisition is highly desirable.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This position manages the Research & Development department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.
