Vice President, Data Engineering

The Role

As a Team Leader in our Data Platforms group, you will lead the engineering strategy and execution for our Enterprise Data Integration Platform. You are passionate about delivering scalable, high-performance data solutions designed to facilitate cross enterprise integration at scale. In this role, you will guide a team of software engineers to build and evolve a modern data platform that supports seamless data ingestion, transformation, and integration across the enterprise. Expertise in file and stream based processing is critical. Work knowledge in relevant and well supported open source projects is also expected. In this role you will be:

  • Leading the development and evolution of the Enterprise Data Integration Platform to support a set of enterprise wide data functions.
  • Partnering with cross-functional leaders to define platform strategy, roadmap, and priorities.
  • Ensuring high standards of software quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Driving engineering best practices and setting coding and architectural standards.
  • Mentoring and developing engineering talent to build a high-performing, collaborative team.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 10–15+ years of experience in software engineering, data platforms, or enterprise data systems.
  • 5+ years' experience with people management, coaching and leading a full stack engineering squad of 10+ individuals.
  • Ability to architect and deliver enterprise-scale data integration solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and real-time data processing.
  • Experience with modern data technologies (e.g., NiFi, dbt, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in the design and delivery of complex data platforms.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, data integration technologies, and distributed systems.
  • Strong background in driving prioritized backlog development with incremental value delivered to customers
  • Experience with strategic talent planning, coaching, and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with analytics, product, and infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
  • Passion for engineering excellence, including CI/CD, test automation, and observability.
  • Ability to lead global teams and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
