Job Description:

This role is responsible for working with Fidelity’s defined contribution clients to build and maintain plan investment lineups that meet plan sponsor requirements and help plan participants reach desired retirement outcomes. While this position will be focused on clients in the East region of the U.S., there may have flexibility on location, as long as the associate resides in the Northeast region of the country. In this role, you will interface with our clients’ investment committees which include officers in Treasury, Finance (including CFOs), Legal, HR, and Corporate functions, as well as third-party advisors and consultants. The successful Investment Strategist effectively communicates investment topics and trends and helps plans sponsors make informed decisions about their retirement plan investments. The VP-level consultant will be working with some of Fidelity’s largest and most complex clients.

The Expertise You Have

  • Strong preference for CFA charter-holder; MBA a plus

  • Minimum of ten years of investment consulting/HNW/institutional advisory experience preferred

  • Proven track record and desire to identify and establish links with clients’ investment decision makers.

The Skills You Bring

  • Detailed knowledge of mutual funds and other investment vehicles typically used by defined contribution plans or institutional investors.

  • Excellent understanding of the economy, financial markets, and their drivers.

  • Ability to explain the interaction of various asset classes and equity styles in particular market cycles and relate that to the performance of the funds.

  • Ability to establish and build relationships and been seen as a go to person for our clients’ retirement investment needs.

  • Excellent presentation skills and presence.
