Job Description:

The Vice President, Product Area Leader for Fidelity Institutional (FI) Common Platform Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for FI Common Platforms. This product area delivers critical shared capabilities, including authorization, reference data, identity services, and cloud automation. The role ensures customer value by aligning technology capabilities with business priorities across multiple teams and initiatives. Success requires strong engagement with internal partners to understand business needs, timing, and dependencies, while championing innovative approaches to fraud detection and prevention and strengthening the security of client information.

This role defines and evolves the vision, strategy, and mission of FI Common Platform Engineering, ensuring integration with enterprise objectives and technology standards. Core responsibilities include negotiating prioritization of strategic initiatives, managing budget allocation, and overseeing the creation and evolution of strategic roadmaps that influence multi-year planning and align with technology strategies and Centers of Excellence requirements. This leader partners with other Fidelity executives to resolve product area-level priorities based on client needs and enable effective execution.

Success will be measured by your ability to align with business priorities, manage inter-program dependencies, create and maintain a multi-year roadmap, foster cross-functional alignment, and deliver practical, scalable solutions. This position demands strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to lead through influence in a complex, matrixed organization. Experience with security, fraud prevention, data platforms, authorization services, and cloud delivery is highly desirable. Familiarity with specialized financial domains can enhance impact, and backgrounds in CRM sales enablement, intermediary and international businesses, and securities trading provide valuable insights into the solutions this product area enables. A commitment to continuous learning and bringing the latest thinking to empower others is essential.
