Vice President Risk – Compliance and Legal
Are you passionate about identifying potential risks before they become challenges while supporting business partners build strategies that keep our organization protected? The Corporate Services Risk Team within the Fidelity Risk Group is looking for a hard-working, risk-minded individual to help build and execute the risk support for the Compliance and Legal business functions in identifying, monitoring, and mitigating risks in order protect the interests of the firm and our customers.
As Risk Vice President, you will be responsible for assessing and reporting on significant risks, developing strategies and solutions to help our Compliance and Legal business partners manage risk, ensuring risks are identified early, escalated appropriately, addressed timely and effectively. As these Corporate Functions have no formal risk support, you will be working with the Head of Corporate Services Risk and the senior leaders of these Corporate Functions to design and implement tailored risk frameworks and programs aligned to each business’s unique risk profile. This role requires thinking and collaborating across Fidelity, encouraging partnerships with various teams for risk management.
The Businesses We Support
Our team provides Business Unit Risk support for Fidelity’s Corporate Functions (excluding Human Resources), with a focus on enhancing the existing risk support model and developing new support for other Corporate Functions. This role is part of a team that is responsible for building and executing the Risk Management programs (e.g., proactive risk assessment, risk monitoring, incident escalation, risk programs, and risk routines) that are tailored to the unique risk profile of each Corporate Function.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelors’ Degree required
15+ relevant experience, Audit or other Risk Management experience preferred, additional Compliance or Legal experience a plus
Demonstrated leadership or project management experience
Ability to help drive and foster a strong risk management mindset within the business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information

Demonstrated risk management knowledge and experience, including risk assessment and control evaluation
Strategic thinking by approaching work with an open mind, sense of creativity, and challenging current practices and recommending improvements to mitigate risks and drive positive change
Knowledge of data analytics capabilities/tools to analyze full populations to surface risk or identify control deficiencies
Excels in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with minimal supervision adapting to evolving priorities and lessons learned
Communicates clearly, concisely and impactfully in order to influence others; able to build strong and inclusive working relationships, in person and virtually, with business partners and colleagues
Proven ability to build and lead effective teams through supervision, coaching, and development of associates, while establishing a culture of subject matter expertise
