
Vice President, Security Architecture – Fidelity Wealth
Job Description:
The Role
As a Vice President of Security Architecture supporting Fidelity’s Wealth business unit, you will lead the development of security architecture strategies that enable secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across a diverse portfolio of products and platforms. You will partner with senior technology and business leaders to define target state architectures, security roadmaps, and governance models that align with enterprise priorities and regulatory requirements.
You will be a key member of the Fidelity Wealth Architecture leadership team, driving security innovation, DevSecOps maturity, and architecture standardization across cloud, data, and application domains. Your work will directly impact Fidelity’s ability to deliver secure and trusted experiences to millions of customers.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, with a strong focus on security and enterprise-scale systems.
- Proven leadership in security architecture, including cloud (AWS & Azure), network, API, identity, and data protection.
- Deep understanding of secure software delivery lifecycle, DevSecOps, and threat modeling practices.
- Experience designing and implementing security controls in modern architecture styles (e.g., microservices, event-driven, serverless).
- Strong familiarity with financial services regulations (e.g., SEC, FFIEC) and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and mentor engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, drive consensus, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Amazon Well-Architected Framework.
- (Preferred) Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP
The Team
You will work closely with product owners, engineering leaders, and enterprise architects across Fidelity’s Wealth business and broader organization. You will participate in architecture review boards, risk assessments, and enterprise governance forums, ensuring alignment with Fidelity’s security strategy and architecture standards.
