
VP, Advanced Trading Customer Strategy

The Role
Help lead the strategy to grow Fidelity’s share of the self‑directed advanced trading market. You will drive the end‑to‑end strategic direction for advanced trading experiences—synthesizing customer insights, research, behavioral data, and competitive intelligence to define a clear vision that meets today’s needs and anticipates tomorrow’s. You’ll partner across design, product, marketing, distribution, compliance, and technology to drive measurable business outcomes, balancing quick wins with long‑term strategic investments while championing a culture of “progress over perfection.”
- Help craft and communicate the advanced trading strategy rooted in customer needs, competitive landscape, and Fidelity’s value propositions
- Partner with marketing to develop go‑to‑market plans that drive customer growth and market share
- Identify new opportunities and customer‑centric solutions using data, insight, and experimentation
- Lead with strategic thinking, creativity, and execution excellence
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Proven ability to analyze customer behavior and research using critical thinking
- Experience running end‑to‑end experiments, from concept to measurement
- Strong communication skills that align partners and build confidence
- Investment strategy knowledge or relevant certifications is a plus
- 10+ years in financial services with a strong track record of using data to shape go‑to‑market strategies and guide decision‑making
- Background in advanced trading or brokerage products preferred
- Passion for product innovation, customer‑centric strategy, and clear storytelling
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, navigating a large organization, and leading cross‑functional teams toward shared goals
- Experience crafting strategy through iterative thinking, facilitative leadership, and teamwork
- Broad understanding of Fidelity’s retail offerings and the evolving needs of active traders
- Willingness to learn the nuances of the advanced trading ecosystem (equities, options, margin, securities lending) to guide platform and experience direction

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-285,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
