Job Description:
The Role
Do you want to work at the intersection of asset management and wealth management? Fidelity is committed to enabling investors to achieve better outcomes, by incorporating alternative investments into their portfolios. As part of the Alternative Investment Product Team within FundsNetwork, you will serve as the main point of contact leading Fidelity’s relationship with 3rd party Alternative Investment Asset Managers. You will set the strategic priorities between Fidelity and these key relationships, while developing mutually beneficial relationships.
Subject-matter expertise in alternative investment strategies and structures, including private equity, real assets, credit, hedge funds, etc.
Experience owning responsibility for business-to-business relationships with asset managers and serving as a main point of contact to connect enterprise stakeholders
Collaborating with internal business partners across service, sales, marketing, product, and legal
Comfortable identifying new business opportunities and leading negotiations to drive new revenue opportunities
Experience within the private wealth channel including the Registered Investment Advisor and/or Independent Broker Dealer channels
Outstanding relationship management and project management skills
Ability to travel as required
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA, CAIA, CFA or progress towards is a plus
10+ years’ experience in the financial services industry including relationship management, sales, or product management
Knowledge of investment products, particularly alternative investment strategies and product structures
Work collaboratively across Fidelity and possess strong leadership skills while maintaining productive long-term working relationships
Stays abreast of industry and shares key insights with internal business partners
Understanding of how wealth managers identify investment opportunities and transact in alternative investments
Ability to build relationships both internally and externally
Effective communicator able to use influence to align stakeholders and drive positive outcomes
Proven ability to negotiate complex arrangements
Comfortable engaging with clients and relationship management teams
Problem solver, capable of identifying opportunities to introduce new ideas or processes
Comfortable working on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Knowledge of the RIA and Independent Broker Dealer market
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
FINRA Series 7 & 63 required

The Team
The Alternative Investment Product team is part of the FundsNetwork division, which maintains relationships with over 700 asset managers whose investment capabilities are made available to Fidelity clients. The role will work closely with key business partners to lead relationships with asset managers and enable our clients access to alternative investment capabilities to help investors achieve their financial goals.
The base salary range for this position is $130,000-264,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
