
VP, Alternatives Channel Strategist
Job Description:
The Role
As a Vice President, Alternatives Channel Strategist, you will focus on Fidelity’s Wealth and Brokerage Channels. The Wealth channel supports Fidelity’s High Net Worth clients providing financial planning and advice, whilethe Brokerage channel supports clients who are not in a covered relationship with an advisor. This individual will be an on-call source for alternative product expertise and will be expected to spend significant amount of time within these channels providing education on our alternative suite of products, problem solving, and collecting feedback.
You should have expertise with both the investment product and the legal documentation required to be an investor within the alternative products. You will articulate the investment process and positioning across a suite of asset management’s alternative products. You will be responsive and willing to work with advisors, brokerage representatives and their clients. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and will need to collaborate with other Fidelity groups to solve advisor and client issues timely and accurately. You will be responsible for helping drive alternative product awareness, working with investment and marketing teams on presentations and thought leadership.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
CFA and/or CAIA strongly desired
Series 7 and 63 (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of private placements and the Fidelity Wealth and Brokerage organizations
Proven success with business development, intermediary distribution and client relationships is strongly preferred
A minimum of10 plus years’ experience in the financial and investment management industry, with a history of successfully leading multiple client relationships. Asset management client relationship experience preferred

Proficient in promoting multi-asset class investment solutions
Excellent presentation and communication skills needed to present, deliver and articulate Fidelity’s positioning and development of existing and new products
Ability to discuss complex issues and communicate them in writing to key constituencies in a straightforward manner
Strong consultative, relationship-based selling skills
Be able to bring new product ideas back to investing and product development groups
Work with various advisors and portfolio teams on complete alternative selling process from sourcing and meeting with prospects investors, educating internal sales team, working through prospect’s due diligence, and maintaining relationships
Keen intellect, quick study of complex subjects and strong market knowledge of the Firm’s competitive position within discrete markets
Outstanding collaboration skills, ability to work appropriately with portfolio managers, product development, legal, compliance and operations
Proven ability to work across a complex organizational culture
