
VP, Group Squad Leader, Cash & Money Movement

The Role
Cash and Money Movement Area in Cash Solutions for Fidelity Wealth is seeking an accomplished product leader ready to engage partners across various business units to pioneer a new level of insights and program management as Group Squad Leader.
You will bring deep experience in large-scale program management, with a consistent record in how to constructively shape strategy and decision-making. As a leader engaged with multiple executives across business units, you’ll use your polished executive presence, love of problem-solving, and persistent curiosity to forge partnerships, create and deliver on a strategic roadmap, and bring actionable value to the business. Working with partners throughout and beyond Cash Solutions, you’ll ensure our products and capabilities deliver on the future needs of our customers. Key responsibilities will include:
- Handle and implement product roadmap & strategy alignment with Product Area strategy
- Co-manage unified product backlog, developed by engaging squad leaders to break down, prioritize, plan and complete
- Influence, inform and align product strategies with partners
- Deliver on roadmap by defining & sequencing delivery Sub-Initiatives that have been prioritized by Product Area Leaders & engineering functional leaders
- Define, track and achieve all product-related metrics including business value, technology lifecycle management & talent, that align directly to Product Area and business-set targets
- Lead Squad Leaders who are focused on delivery of the product capabilities and features
- Consult with functional leaders such as Group Chapter Leader/Chapter Leader, who own workforce planning, about talent acquisition & planning, including number of resources, skills & competency requirements and mobility
- Lead and enable key Agile and portfolio routines
- Engage in a consistent set of standard delivery routines. Includes appropriate functional leaders in routines based on stage of product lifecycle. Assess, discuss & action a consistent set of standard delivery metrics that drive team performance.
- Quarterly Group Squad Reviews & Planning & Regular Scrum of Scrums (if cross-team execution applicable)
- Quarterly Strategic Initiative Reviews & Planning & Quarterly Product Area Reviews & Planning
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree required with 15 + years professional experience
- Minimum 10+ years of deep technical product management experience and working with business partners enabling product development and delivery
- 5+ years successfully leading and developing teams with diverse capabilities and experience
- Minimum 5 years developing digital banking, payments or money movement products including Bill Pay, Real-time Payments, Person to Person Payments and ACH deposits and direct debits
- Significant understanding of the financial industry and depth of experience in Agile practices and tools; including prioritization of backlog
- Depth of technical skill and background
- Shown success in handling technical strategic decisions, day-to-day technical oversight, and talent support of squad leaders, collaborating across leadership teams with opposing priorities and key dependencies to achieve results.
- Champion recommendations and influence decisions at all levels of management
- Translate complex technical issues into understandable, synthesized executive briefs
- Advanced level of knowledge of multiple subject areas required to perform at a senior level.
- Excellent verbal/verbal skills and executive presence
- Cross Business Unit work experience a plus
