The Role

The Vice President, Retirement Director will be responsible for meeting/exceeding sales goals, developing new and maintaining existing client relationships with Investment Professionals in a defined territory.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 8+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably within the Retirement market and working with Advisors/Investment Professionals.

  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required.

  • Requires extensive overnight travel, ability to work from home office when not traveling.

  • Strongly prefer field sales and territory management experience.

  • Bring expertise and in depth knowledge of Fidelity and competitive products.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent stand-up presentation, communication and listening skills.

  • Increase number of Investment Professionals doing business with Fidelity Investments.

  • Maintain and document sales activity to ensure production levels.

  • Maintain and improve existing relationships through increased interaction, introduction of sales ideas and marketing support.

  • Sponsor and participate in client seminars and events to increase IP's business.

  • Liaison with internal groups to provide superior service, marketing and technology support, problem resolution.

  • Collaborate with IP's to help build their business/production through product knowledge, prospecting and lead generation expertise, industry and competitive data.

The Team

Responsible for improving client relationships by assessing their business needs and offering creative solutions through Fidelity’s 401K Solutions, education and services. Fidelity’s Retirement Director (field based retirement plan wholesaler), will need to work collaboratively with an internal wholesaler and be responsible for developing, targeting and building a business plan for a specific territory. Prospects are developed through multiple strategies including internal distribution partners and through investment professionals at financial institutions nationwide, including wirehouses, regional and independent broker/dealers, banks, trust companies and insurance companies, registered investment advisors and consultants.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
