The Role

The Vice President of Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions (WAMS) Data Strategy will define and execute a holistic data strategy to enable scalable growth, operational efficiency, and commercial outcomes across WAMS. This leader will own development of the strategy and roadmap for WAMS data across our product and technology ecosystems, inclusive of investment, customer, and product/platform data. This leader will play a critical role in enabling the organization to effectively manage and harness our data across domains, reducing fragmentation and promoting operational excellence for data owned within WAMS. The role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership to influence partners and drive execution.

  • Develop and own WAMS data strategy aligned with business objectives, defining our near-, medium-, and long-term priorities and roadmap to enable scalable growth, client experience, and commercial outcomes.

  • Define roadmap and lead organizational change management to optimize in-house data processes required to effectively run and grow the business for our investment, product, and distribution teams.

  • Champion standards and accountability for business data governance and stewardship across WAMS products and technology ecosystems, leveraging established BU and Enterprise standards.

  • Partner with analytics and commercialization teams to effectively harness our investment, client, and product for commercial and business insights.

  • Lead data inventory, licensing, and quality processes, establishing standards and accountability across domains.

  • Influence senior stakeholders to secure alignment and resources for strategic initiatives.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 15+ years in data strategy, governance, or analytics leadership roles.

  • Proven experience in data management, data-driven decision-making and insights.

  • Strong understanding of investment, client, and platform data domains.

  • Strong investment acumen and experience in financial services or investment management.

  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution discipline.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data privacy standards, preferred.

  • Track record of driving cross-functional data initiatives in complex organizations.

  • Collaborative leadership and ability to influence execution by partners.

  • Change management and organizational alignment skills.

The Team

Fidelity Institutional’s mission is to help intermediary and institutional clients cut through complexity and achieve better outcomes. The Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions team plays a key role in this mission through developing and delivering customized investment solutions, industry-leading managed platforms, and investment capabilities. This team drives critical growth initiatives for Fidelity, FI and IWMS.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$264,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
