
Warehouse Clerk (3rd Shift)
Overview/Purpose:
The Warehouse Clerk is part of the Transportation Department who facilitates inbound and outbound carrier appointments, interacts with drivers, processes order paperwork, and supports transportation of goods and materials between Hain locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the Transportation Supervisor in the inbound and outbound scheduling of goods and materials using various computer-based tools and systems.
- Accurately transacts customer orders in the inventory control system.
- Supports warehouse personnel with inbound and outbound order paperwork, and troubleshooting.
- Communicates daily with internal & external customers.
- Monitor Orders/Daily Load Schedule.
- Assists in monitoring trailer equipment and storage at multiple sites using various computer-based tools and systems.
- Assist in the receipt of non-inventory parcels, goods, and other deliveries
- Prioritizes and performs daily workload assigned by Supervisor.
- Follows and complies with all employee safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Accuracy and attention to detail is critical in this role.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate order details accurately in English.
- Must be computer literate, able to read and enter data into various systems including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proven ability to use basic mathematical skills.
- Must have the motor skills commensurate with the essential functions of the job.

- Prior experience using an inventory control system preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) not required but preferred
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Employee will primarily work at a computer station and must be able to work on a computer for an entire shift if needed.
- Employee will have to communicate with outside vendors (drivers, building visitors, contractors) as gatekeepers of the main building entrance area.
- Regularly required to work around operating equipment, stand, reach, pull, stoop and bend
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls, and climb or balance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electric shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, some instances of this job may require work in areas where ear protection if necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
- New starting wage is $20.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and location). *Note that rate could change based on shift schedule.
