Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $28.00.

Summary: Coordinate daily activities, moves, loads, and unloads; raw, in-process, finished goods and supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of warehousing fundamentals / principles and the ability to effectively organize the warehouse and help hold employees accountable.
  • Experience in receiving / procurement principles and inventory control systems.
  • Responsible for receipt, storage, tracking, and shipment of all Finished Goods and some raw materials.
  • Ability to secure transportation for LTL carriers and support corporate approved transportation.
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery of all return materials and scrap.
  • Optimize the switching, warehouse layout, and racking systems for best cost position.
  • Routinely work with internal and external / internal auditors, contracts, customer service advocates and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the absence of direct supervision, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse / shipping operations.
  • SAP/barcode scanner knowledge.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Inventory software, Excel Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word software.
