Job Summary

The Administrative Support Associate 3 serves as the primary front office representative for the Wilson County Campus, providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to campus operations and main campus administration. This role manages a multi-line phone system, greets and directs visitors, maintains confidentiality of records, and supports daily business functions including scheduling, correspondence, purchasing, payroll/timekeeping coordination, and records management.
The position also assists with student services processes, event coordination, registration activities, and communication efforts, while ensuring the administrative office operates efficiently and professionally. Additional responsibilities include handling campus funds, maintaining office supplies and equipment, supporting Banner data entry, and serving as a key point of contact for staff, students, and community stakeholders. This full-time position requires 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications

Technical diploma with experience in customer services or business, accounting or related field.
At least three (3) years of related and successful work.
Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of information management systems or ability to master such systems as well as typing; 10-Key and data entry skills; along with strong Microsoft Office skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Work with minimum supervision on moderately difficult to complex clerical tasks.
Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate detailed data.
Ability to relate and communicate to a diverse faculty, staff, student population and the public.

Preferred Qualifications

Higher education experience.
Banner experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Microsoft Office.
Exceptional customer service, organizational skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple complex projects.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate sensitive and/or complex information in a confidential and straightforward manner.
Must be a creative problem solver.
Must possess a high level of accuracy, self-motivation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle a heavy work load.
Familiarity with academic environment, policies and procedures.
