The important work performed by each member of this team has a direct impact on maintaining the integrity of New York City’s matching funds program, which stands as a benchmark for effective campaign finance systems around the country. In addition to safeguarding one of the strongest publicly funded campaign finance systems, the Audit Unit ensures that the CFB’s robust disclosure and oversight requirements, which are key to having an informed electorate, are met by all candidates, regardless of their participation in the matching funds program.
