Job Summary
Reporting to the VP &amp; AVP of Economic and Workforce Development, the Administrative Assistant serves as the initial contact for the VP &amp; AVP and Economic and Workforce Development offices. They perform administrative duties as needed for both offices and support efforts and initiatives handled by the VP's office.
Job Duties
• Answer the telephone, take messages, and route to appropriate persons. • Process mail, both incoming and outgoing, and route as appropriate. • Assist with coordinating the preparation and logistics for the VP &amp; AVP committee meetings and general meetings by preparing and distributing meeting agendas, attending, and documenting minutes. • Aid with extensive scheduling, coordination, and documentation of college committees and advisory councils under the VP &amp; AVP purview. • Assist with the coordination and preparation of the VP &amp; AVP’s external committees and appointments. • Type, proofread, and distribute correspondence, purchase requisitions, forms, reports, and other documents. • Support efforts and initiatives handled by the Economic and Workforce Development Office. • Assist with planning and preparations for all VP and AVP office’s travel, conference activities, workshops, and tours. Minimum Qualifications
• Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution and one year of administrative assistant, clerical, or customer service experience OR high school diploma and two years of administrative assistant, clerical, or customer service experience.
