Manager, Clinical Partnerships (Radiography)

The Campus Associate Director Nursing, Clinical Operations assists with providing leadership in managing and implementing a comprehensive post-secondary adult vocational nursing program for delivery in support of College, campus, and/or departmental goals in order to assure compliance with programmatic accreditation and/or licensure, internal consistency, and graduate outcomes that meet workplace and placement expectations. Participates in budget preparation and fiscal administration, curriculum development and coordination, determination of teaching assignments, supervision and evaluation of faculty, and selection/coordination of program specific external clinical facilities and instruction. Supports Manager of Student Experience lead development of sites to meet current and future placement needs.</li><li>Collaborates with the Campus Assistant Director of Nursing, Academics in support of full- time faculty assigned in the clinical setting.</li><li>Coordinates a plan to best observe, instruct, and evaluate students learning and clinical practical skills and faculty performance which includes a direct observation clinical assessment of skills in applicable setting for related area of instruction.</li><li>Plans and provides for the practical, clinical or field experience as well as the appropriate documentation required by clinical affiliates in order for students to be placed promptly in their clinical rotations/assignments.</li><li>Monitors clinical affiliations/contracts, rotations, visits to clinical facilities and skills/simulation lab activities, and maintains written record on all clinical visits including incident reports.</li><li>Provides follow-up and resolution plan to Campus Director of Nursing for issues identified with students and faculty in the clinical setting.</li><li>Ensures clinical faculty assess student knowledge and skill level in order to promote safety and optimal care to patients assigned to the clinical site.</li><li>Oversees and manages operations associated with fostering and maintaining relationships with the clinical partners as well as the development and retention of clinical sites.</li><li>Oversee administrative staff to ensure proper documentation of clinical attendance, clinical scheduling, clinical files, background and immunization and other required is maintained.</li><li>Assures required clinical site onboarding and training for department staff is conducted; improves retention and morale and performance efficiencies related to clinical site experiences. Conducts clinical observations in accordance with accrediting bodies and college procedures and policies.</li></ul>Minimum &amp; Preferred Qualifications:Required:<ul><li>Hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the US Secretary of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).</li><li>Must have completed a course or courses offered by an accredited school with instruction in administration, teaching, and curriculum development.</li><li>Exercises care, proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies and identifies unsafe conditions and makes appropriate adjustments.</li><li>Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) License is required.</li><li>Must have approval by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) prior to assuming the role of Assistant Director of Nursing.</li><li>Must possess a Certificate of Completion of a course in teaching methodology of at least 30 hours.</li><li>Current CPR Card.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.</li></ul>Experience &amp; Skills:Required:<ul><li>Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse; one (1) year shall be in teaching or clinical supervision, or a combination thereof, in a state approved registered nursing, vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five (5) years; or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five (5) years.</li><li>Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.</li><li>Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.</li><li>Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills as applicable to specialized program area.</li><li>Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Title IV, ABHES, BVNPT, BPPE, and other accreditation standards.</li><li>Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information, reports and projections.</li></ul>Do you want a career that allows you to make a difference in other people’s lives?
