Your Role: 
As a Docketing Supervisor, within our Intellectual Property department, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assists Docketing Manager in the oversight and project assignment for docketing team members. Oversees implementation of changes or improvements in docketing policy and process

Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision</li><li>Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas</li><li>Assists in the contracting function</li><li>Assists in the negotiation of conclusions to difficult, complex and/or sensitive issues</li><li>Consults, advises, and conducts seminars concerning the application of tax laws, rules,&nbsp;and regulations along with court cases related to program area</li><li>Maintains the legal library and researches to provide information</li><li>Negotiates resolutions of issues prior to hearings</li><li>Performs legal research and compiles data from references, digests, and law libraries</li><li>Prepares proposed legislation for review and the analysis of the impact of the changes</li><li>Provides review and analysis of the implications of laws, policy statements, and&nbsp;regulations</li><li>Researches, drafts, revise and/or negotiate documents, provide support to existing&nbsp;programs or new programs</li><li>Reviews and assists with resolution of taxpayer protests or disputes of assessments and&nbsp;petitions for reconsideration</li><li>Reviews/critiques and assists in drafting proposed legislation</li></ul><dt><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4></dt>High school diploma/GED and completion of 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours in criminal justice or a related field and six (6) years of experience in the related area; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Legal Analysis Spec 2 (LEP041) or position equivalent.&nbsp; Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.<dt><h4>Additional Information</h4></dt>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, public administration or related area from an accredited college or university AND Three years of related experience in area of assignment.</li><li>Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Proficiency in Georgia Law as it pertains to the State Purchasing Act, O.C.G.A., Sections §50-5-50 through Section §50-5-81</li><li>Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).</li><li>Experience performing legal research and ability to find relevant legal statutes within the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (O.C.G.A.).</li></ul>
