They will work directly with senior and junior faculty members and their labs to create and submit proposals, create budgets, authorize and approve expenditures, review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, forecast financial scenarios, and make sound recommendations for spending plans.The Senior Grants Manager may also be expected to participate in sponsor update and kickoff meetings, to present financial data to sponsors and to function as a member of a given project team when required. The Senior Research Portfolio Administrator will work independently in a large research department environment, but will also support the Genetics Business Office team and be expected to participate in special projects to support the Department. S/he will provide an outstanding level of customer service to a broad customer base on a wide range of very complex pre- and post-award, sponsored and compliance issues. &nbsp;They will provide a management-level liaison with other university offices, the financial offices of relevant HU departments as well as other universities connected to the lab’s research programs, and with industrial biotech interests. As the primary community contact and brand ambassador, the Branch Manager leads branch staff, fostering high-quality service, efficient operations, and effective sales of Harvard FCU products and services.Job Specific Responsibilities:Commitment to Service Excellence<ul><li>Lead by example by delivering exceptional service to members, and internal teams.</li><li>Foster a culture of responsiveness, empathy, and thorough follow-through.</li><li>Ensure operational processes reflect the warmth and attentiveness members expect.</li><li>Promote seamless, efficient, and supportive internal service interactions.</li><li>Ensure all members have access to our services.</li></ul>Empathetic and Solution-Oriented Support<ul><li>Reinforce a culture of care through empathetic, efficient team interactions.</li></ul>Operational Oversight<ul><li>Manage all branch operations: scheduling, opening/closing, daily balancing, security, and audits.</li><li>Ensure consistent, courteous service excellence.</li></ul>Driving Results<ul><li>Grow deposits and drive membership growth by engaging with existing members, sourcing leads, and building new business relationships.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and internal policies.</li><li>Achieve sales goals through strategic initiatives and member engagement.</li><li>Participate in performance meetings and communicate effectively with staff via daily huddles and monthly meetings.</li></ul>Sales Focus<ul><li>Develop and implement sales strategies to promote Harvard FCU products.</li><li>Monitor performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Train and mentor staff on sales techniques and member engagement.</li><li>Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns and retain existing members.</li></ul>Community Engagement<ul><li>Represent Harvard FCU in the community and at networking events.</li><li>Actively promote membership growth and increase visibility within partner organizations and local communities.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with affiliate personnel and conduct on-site visits.</li><li>Support outreach efforts including benefit fairs, seminars, and educational programs.</li></ul>Business Prospecting and Floating<ul><li>Identify and develop new business opportunities to support membership growth.</li><li>Float to other branches as needed to maintain service standards.</li></ul>Business Partner Collaboration<ul><li>Work with department managers to align strategies and initiatives.</li></ul>Know Your Business: Educate &amp; Empower<ul><li>Apply credit union expertise to drive success.</li><li>Foster teamwork, inclusion, and professional development.</li><li>Communicate clearly to ensure alignment and growth</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.</li></ul> Qualifications Basic Qualifications:Basic Qualifications are the minimum threshold a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required</li><li>3+ years’ relevant work experience</li></ul>Additional Qualifications and Skills:The following qualifications are strongly preferred.
