Extramural funding is not required. Competitive start-up funds and appropriate space will be offered. As a part of the long-standing commitment of the University and the Commonwealth of Kentucky to translationally oriented traumatic brain and spinal cord injury research, SCoBIRC offers a wealth of resources for neurotrauma research. Candidates must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. The successful applicant is expected to develop and sustain a research program with external funding in the field of neurotrauma. This program should both complement and enhance the existing expertise within the Center.
