Job Purpose:&nbsp;The overall purpose of the Education Coordinator is to provide lectures and training opportunities for Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program students in compliance with the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NACCLS) and the TN Medical Laboratory Board standards. They serve as the liaison between the program administration and other institutions involved in the clinical experience. Implement quality improvements as indicated. Assist in the documentation of program goals, feedback, outcomes, and evaluation.</li>

Both sets of activities will be conducted in collaboration with other current members of the Opportunity Insights team.The individual taking on this role will be responsible for the following:Policy Evaluation and Financial Modeling<ul><li>Lead efforts to acquire, clean, and manage large administrative and program datasets.</li><li>Design and conduct econometric studies assessing the effectiveness of public policies, social programs, and other mobility-related interventions.</li><li>Apply causal inference methods including matching estimators, quasi-experimental designs, and other techniques.</li><li>Model financial returns from alternative portfolios of investments, including expected returns and risk assessment.</li><li>Ensure methodological rigor and transparency in all analyses.</li></ul>Cost-Benefit Analysis and Tool Development<ul><li>Conduct cost-benefit analyses (CBA) to estimate returns of programs.</li><li>Quantify direct and indirect economic and social benefits.</li><li>Develop a calculator to estimate cost savings and impacts of state and federal tax revenues.</li><li>Integrate findings into dashboards, reports, and visualizations for internal decision-makers and external partners.</li></ul>&nbsp;Teaching and Mentoring<ul><li>Support OI initiatives to teach data science and OI research to high school and college students.&nbsp;</li><li>Supervise and collaborate with junior analysts and predoctoral research assistants as needed.</li><li>Provide technical guidance on modeling, interpretation, and quality assurance.</li><li>Contribute to internal capacity building and knowledge-sharing across teams.</li></ul>Communication of Results<ul><li>Produce technical reports summarizing results for relevant internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Help prepare non-technical policy briefs, reports, and presentations summarizing key findings, uncertainties, and implications.</li><li>Represent the organization in briefings, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.</li></ul>
