<h3>Job Description:</h3><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>We are seeking a VP, Quant Optimization Technology to join our Quantitative Research &amp; Investments Technology (QRIT) team in Fidelity Asset Management Technology. This role will partner with the quant research and investments teams to design, build, enhance, and support a comprehensive portfolio optimization &amp; back testing ecosystem. This individual will combine hands-on development with leading a team of software engineers and quantitative developers. The role will be reporting to the Head of QRIT and will join the QRIT leadership team.</p><p><strong>The Expertise and Skills You Bring</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a computational field such as Computer Science, Master’s degree is preferred</li><li>Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience working in financial services (Asset Management experienced preferred)</li><li>Experience managing teams of developers and as a player/coach</li><li>Proven experience engaging with senior internal and external clients and partners</li><li>Experience with Python and micro-services / RESTful APIs</li><li>Proven ability to design highly scalable and low latency systems</li><li>Experience working on AWS cloud environment and working knowledge of CI/CD &amp; DevOps</li><li>Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns and software engineering fundamentals such as OOP, functional programming, data modeling.</li><li>Advanced understanding of data structures</li><li>Demonstrated experience with building and customizing portfolio optimization tools</li><li>Proven ability to capture requirements and formulate plans by partnering with various stakeholders</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills to influence decisions and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization</li></ul><p><strong>The Value You Deliver</strong></p><ul><li>Inspirational people leader, capable of setting strategic direction and encouraging others to deliver results and impact to achieve that strategy.</li><li>You will partner with other Fidelity business and technology leaders to identify and define strategic priorities based on an understanding of business value needs and enable execution of these initiatives.</li><li>You actively bring new ideas, approaches, and insights to improve the contributions of your team and enable them to develop new skills and capabilities.</li><li>Commitment to building a balance of technology and non-technology skills to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers.</li><li>You are committed to ongoing development of your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest capabilities and thinking to your team to empower others with that knowledge.</li><li>Collaborative relationship with senior leaders in Asset Management Technology to propagate standard processes while ensuring the culture and environment supports the attraction, retention, and development of talent</li></ul>The base salary range for this position is $140,000-285,000 USD per year. <p>Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.</p><p>Base salary is only part of the total compensation package.
