Cosmetology Associate Instructor – Newbern Evening
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest is accepting applications for a full-time evening Cosmetology Associate Instructor at our Newbern campus. Hours are Monday through Friday from 1:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current, valid Cosmetologist License issued by the TN State Board of Cosmetology.
- Current, valid Cosmetology Instructor’s License issued by the TN State Board of Cosmetology.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a licensed Cosmetologist.
- Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
- Must show evidence of teaching ability.
- Possess organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
- Must possess computer skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to complete reports/paperwork and meet deadlines.
General Duties:
- Provide instruction to students in all areas of the Cosmetology program.
- Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.
- Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.
- Maintain good public relations with business and industry.
- Work in cooperation with post-secondary Cosmetology instructor to provide an optimum training experience.
- Collect live work fees and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
