Position Title: Truck Driver Training Instructor Department: Business Outreach Office (BUO) Division: Workforce Development (WOD) Employee Status: Part-time Group: N/A Grade: N/A $24.00 hourly day / $26.00 hourly night FLSA: N/A &nbsp; <h4>Reporting Relationships</h4>Reports to: General supervision is received from the Dean of Workforce Development&nbsp; <h4>Supervision Exercised: None.</h4>Job Summary Provide a variety of teaching/learning activities that prepare students for the class A-commercial driver's license (CDL) examination and an entry-level position in the trucking industry. &nbsp; Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned. &nbsp;<ul><li>Teach the classroom portion of the Truck Driver Training Program, including permits, logbooks, and trip planning.</li><li>Teach hands-on portion of the Truck Driver Training Program, including backing, shifting, and behind-the-wheel training.</li><li>Maintain student files in compliance with ICCB and IL Secretary of State standards.</li><li>Maintain Truck Driver Training Program equipment.</li><li>Monitor inventory of training supplies.</li><li>Evaluate and grade students throughout the program.</li><li>Provide maintenance on equipment in emergency situations.</li><li>Able to work on-call bases if the enrollment requires.</li><li>Regular attendance is expected.</li><li>Using tact and courtesy, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work.</li></ul> &nbsp; Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
