GENERAL DUTIES: The Electrical and Plumbing Construction Technology Associate Instructor is responsible for providing individualized theory and hands-on instruction to adult and high school students to prepare them for employment in the field. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: electrical theory, residential/commercial print reading and wiring techniques, load calculations, conduit bending, National Electric Code, plumbing fixtures and installation, pipes and fittings, water distribution and drainage installations.. The Associate Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; assist in recruiting new students, and assist with graduate placement. This position must also maintain good public relations with business and industry; maintain an active advisory committee; cooperate with outside agencies; and supervise and follow-up on students participating in cooperative education. This position is full-time and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Scheduled class hours are Monday through Friday, 3:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Instruction is delivered in-person at Stewart County High School. POSITION SUMMARY This position is a nine-month faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction in Communication. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Job Purpose:&nbsp;This is a one-year Tennessee Department of Labor grant full-time position ending 06/30/2026. The purpose of this position is to organize meetings with local key stakeholders and assist the Director in communicating information about grant activities. The nursing facilitator will teach designated allied health training programs. This position requires oversight on online Allied Health training programs. The nursing facilitator will be responsible for scheduling and reporting clinical activities for designated programs. The nursing facilitator will perform at least 1875 hours on RHWDI grant activities. This position will involve administrative support for WFT Allied Health Director, as needed.

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is accepting applications for the Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor position to work at the TCAT Knoxville Main Campus. This position will typically work 18 to 30 hours per week. POSITION SUMMARY: To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories. PRACTICAL NURSING PROGRAM: The Practical Nursing Program is approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing. Graduates will obtain a diploma in Practical Nursing and may then be eligible to take the National Council Licensing Exam for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN) used to obtain nursing licensure in Tennessee. Practical Nursing is entry-level nursing. Graduates are prepared with the background and skills to give knowledgeable, basic nursing care to patients with varying degrees of physical needs. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) work under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors. Positions are available in hospitals, long-term care facilities, physician's offices, home health agencies, and various other healthcare settings.
Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with an active license in Tennessee as a Registered Nurse (RN); minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing required. • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN within the last five years. 
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and teaching experience are preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication and computer skills. • Evidence of ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
SALARY: This position's rate of pay is $35.00 per hour.

      Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor
    

The Advisor is a staff position designed to provide holistic advising and support services to ensure student retention and success. Advisors report to the Director of Advising and collaborate with other advisors, recruiters, administrative staff, and faculty to oversee the college’s effectiveness in meeting the needs of the students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Must attend Master Advisor training and maintain Master Advisor status.</li>
<li>Monitor, coach, and advise an assigned caseload of students.</li>
<li>Assist students with onboarding processes including admissions, financial aid, and registration.</li>
<li>Provide academic advising to all students via in-person, email, telephone, or Zoom appointments.</li>
<li>Refer students to on and off-campus resources to meet their needs outside of the classroom (tutoring, etc.).</li>
<li>Reach out to students based on a faculty-driven early alert system.</li>
<li>Work with students on program of study requirements.</li>
<li>Assist students with degree planning.</li>
<li>Assist students in creating academic plans for financial aid appeals and fresh start applications</li>
<li>Encourage student involvement with student clubs, organizations, and community service events.</li>

Working Conditions:
Sedentary: Desk work; travel will be required for college or program activities. Evening and weekend hours will be required. Normal range of movement is expected. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort. Besides frequent person to person interactions with students, faculty and staff, this position requires significant communication by telephone and other electronic means (e.g. email, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.&nbsp; Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment including on-line computer systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email programs.&nbsp; Willingness to learn new software applications. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.&nbsp; Must be able to maintain an effective relationship with all constituencies.
Minimum Requirements of Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university. Four years of experience in student affairs at the postsecondary level.

Community College experience is preferred.
Experience with Banner Student Information System.
Minimum starting salary is $40,600 annually ($20.82 per hour). With additional experience pay increases to a maximum of $50,700.

The instructor is responsible for the presentation of educational and safety programs to be delivered at participating utility locations as scheduled or assigned by the Program Coordinator.
Job Duties

<li>The instructor’s foremost duty is to meet the requirements of his/her monthly itineraries, as approved by the Program Coordinator.</li>
<li>The instructor will help develop program material as directed by the Program Coordinator.</li>

General Summary
