<h4>What The Role Is</h4>The Senior Engineer, Turbine Technology and Performance, will lead the evaluation and optimization of wind turbine platforms, ensuring alignment with Clearway’s technical, quality, and economic requirements. This role serves as a subject matter expert on turbine technology and will oversee technology review, quality standards, inspection protocols, and supplier compliance throughout development, procurement, and construction. In this job, the focus is on reliability engineering, where you will play a crucial part in evaluating reliability metrics, determining strategies and mitigations to enhance the performance of our electric grid, and reporting on insights and performance. Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future? <h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Monitors market trends, vendor, industry group and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation in engineering solutions</li><li>Develops and maintains asset management plans for utility infrastructure, proactively identifying future system upgrades and contributing to the formulation of departmental and organizational business plans and grid strategies</li><li>Collaborates with regulatory affairs teams to ensure compliance with local, state, national, and international regulations governing energy engineering projects</li><li>Identifies areas for process improvement and implements strategies to enhance engineering efficiency and productivity</li><li>Deploys improvement initiatives and tracks progress using relevant metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the continuous improvement efforts</li><li>Addresses any performance issues promptly and creates improvement plans when necessary</li><li>Plans, designs and oversees the infrastructure of power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards</li><li>Coordinates and prioritizes activities within the team to ensure efficient project execution; aids in managing resources and budget activities to achieve strict compliance with the company's guidelines</li><li>Evaluates and recommends investments in infrastructure, equipment, and technology to support the long-term growth and competitiveness of the engineering department</li><li>A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a scientific/technical/math field.</li><li>Ten or more years of experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.</li><li>Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience using Outage Management System (OMS), Outage Database &amp; Reliability Metrics (ODRM), or other similar outage databases.</li><li>Experience designing, scoping, or planning utility grid solutions or mitigations.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in the area of power system engineering analysis including knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, codes, and analysis software such as CYME.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with project management concepts and experience including planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and coordinating multiple projects.</li><li>Demonstrated experience preparing detailed engineering studies and reports.</li><li>Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly capture information discussed in team settings including key decisions &amp; outcomes with rationale supported by data, context, and implications to a wide variety of stakeholders.</li><li>Experience presenting to and influencing senior management.</li><li>A passion for innovation and implementing cutting-edge technologies to enhance system reliability and performance.</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>This position’s work mode is hybrid.
