Fidelity Investments Life Insurance (FILI) Technology team in Personal Investing is seeking a talented engineers to join us in modernizing and building innovative and world-class experiences, capabilities and platforms in support of this mission. <ul><li>4+ years of Expertise in developing policy administration systems using Oracle Policy Administration System (OIPA), including configuration language, integration, AS Files, data intake, database architecture, and data extraction patterns; building OIPA extensions; and performing palette and application security implementations, screens (policy, roles segment, allocation, and valuation), and release management. </li><li>Expertise in implementing design patterns, using UML </li><li>Test Driven Development, Junit, Jasmine, Karma, Protractor </li><li>IDE’s Spring Tool Suite, and Eclipse, within a UNIX and Windows environment. </li><li>Writing SQL queries and debugging stored procedures within an Oracle environment. </li><li>Leadership: Team player, self-starter, collaborative, innovative, eager to learn every day. </li><li>Understanding of docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS or Azure) will be a plus </li><li>AWS Certification is a plus </li></ul>The Purpose: As a Principal Software Engineer on the team, you will have the opportunity to leverage all of your skills in engineering, modernizing, and testing Annuity contract generation and account opening applications. The Logistics Analyst is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office a minimum of 4 days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from the Kinexo office in Rocky Mount. This position is responsible for ensuring existing carriers are managing awarded lanes and securing logistics options to reduce and control costs. A teammate in this position must have the ability to: <ul><li>Analyze performance by carrier partners (decline, on time, systems data updates, low margin), and identify strategies to improve poor performance.</li><li>Resource other logistics options or Transportation modes to improve current performance.</li><li>Work with other groups in monitoring prepaid/embedded lanes for conversion to profitable Collect or Vantix margin lanes.</li><li>Work on continuous process improvement strategies for lane conversion and analysis.</li><li>Work with internal partners in backhaul conversions.</li><li>Negotiate directly with carriers directly on matters related to spot shipments, claims, and accessorial charges.</li><li>Serve as direct contact for McLane divisions, Procurement, and Suppliers on all aspects of inbound freight related to specific purchase order questions on a daily basis.</li><li>Negotiate freight cost and provide specific cost feedback to customers.</li><li>Provide specific feedback to Vantix management related to service reporting and inbound freight margin loss.</li><li>Investigate and resolve all matters related to carrier accessorial charges on behalf of Kinexo.</li><li>Coordinate meetings with multiple carriers during annual, monthly and quarterly reviews.</li><li>Foster relationships with carrier's partners with long-term goals of controlling/improving transportation costs.</li><li>Attend conventions/seminars/meetings to market Vantix to internal, external and carrier partners.</li><li>Work with Logistics Systems Analyst with training new carriers with compliance to systems needs.</li><li>Audit reports - monthly and quarterly (carrier decline, on time, low margin, L14, L16).</li><li>Identifying low performing lanes and carriers from current/new reports and determine strategies to improve performance directly related to Kenexo Logistics financial performance.</li><li>Review reports and processes to make them more efficient, timely and relevant.</li><li>Spot market growth and cost reduction.</li></ul> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: A teammate in this position must: <ul><li>Have a BS or BA degree in Transportation, Logistics, or commensurate experience in logistics environment is preferred.</li><li>Have an understanding of business logistics and supply chain management, including transportation, distribution and customer service.</li><li>Have 2+ years in logistics or operations environment or transferable skills and experience.</li><li>Have creativity, problem solving and strong analytical and communication skills.</li><li>Be knowledgeable of information systems, including experience working with and designing relational databases (strong database and spreadsheet knowledge is essential).</li><li>Have experience with MS Access, MS Excel and MS Outlook.</li></ul> WORKING CONDITIONS: <ul><li>Office environment.</li><li>Some Travel.</li><li>Weekend and Night coverage (Rotation).</li></ul> Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
