This is a multi-faceted position that will require a blend of facility management, project leadership, and hands-on technical skills to support the growth of our services operations. Key Characteristics <ul><li>Travel to Veolia facilities to lead on-site installation of CAPEX projects</li><li>Provides leadership &amp; instills best EHS standards for the site teams</li><li>Basic on-site project management - material control &amp; receiving, on-site spot engineering</li></ul> Duties &amp; Responsibilities <ul><li>Manages on-site team daily/weekly work tasks and schedule</li><li>Works in partnership with CAPEX project manager &amp; maintains clear communication to ensure smooth and efficient operations</li><li>Assists on-site teams with basic installation and machinery troubleshooting</li><li>Read and redline engineering drawings and P&amp;ID's</li><li>Works in partnership with project engineering team</li><li>Ability to support mechanical or electrical or other physical installation activities</li><li>Set and follows good installation housekeeping practices</li><li>Is available on-call for emergency needs to maintain project install schedule</li><li>Maintains records and reports as required or needed for install</li><li>Works according to the Plant or facility maintenance leader directions</li><li>Demonstrates excellent EHS standards and follows policies/procedure in order to keepself and others injury free</li><li>Assists team members when needed with machinery, repairs and installation troubleshooting</li><li>Install new equipment or re-arranges existing equipment.</li><li>Performs preventative maintenance activities at the facility or within the 'Mobile' fleet</li><li>Ability to act as a resource for training or maintenance operations when needed</li><li>Perform building and ground maintenance</li></ul> The job description is not designed to capture all the employee's responsibilities but is intended to capture essential functions of the role. Qualifications Required: <ul><li>HS Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to HS Diploma</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training</li><li>Project management skills</li><li>Computer proficient</li><li>Mechanical and/or electrical proficiency</li><li>Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form and able to read a P&amp;ID</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA Standards</li><li>Problem solving skills with reliable and thorough approach to work</li><li>Perform confined space entry in small tanks with 14x18" manways</li><li>Has experience running schedule 80 PVC pipe</li></ul> Preferred: <ul><li>Associate's degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines</li><li>Basic leadership traits and skills</li><li>At least 5 years of install, repair and maintenance work experience</li><li>Basic electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming &amp; 480V 3-phase electrical repair</li><li>Experience running Schedule 80 PVC pipe (2" to 8")</li><li>Trade school experience for plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired</li><li>Positive displacements pump repair experience</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li></ul> Additional Information Working Conditions <ul><li>Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity</li><li>Ability and willingness to work confined space entry</li><li>Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial</li><li>Ability and willingness for on call status for emergency response</li><li>Estimated travel at 50-75%</li></ul> At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
