Job Summary
This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty appointment reporting to the department chair of Engineering Technologies. This faculty position will support the Electrical Engineering Technology and Computer Engineering Technology programs. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities (developing and preparing curricula and instructional material; delivering lectures; initiating, facilitating and moderating class discussions to students on topics in electrical engineering technology and computer engineering technology). Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers instruction to students on topics in electrical and computer engineering technology, including digital circuits, dc and ac circuits, electronics, digital industrial control systems, power technology, robotics, programmable logic controllers, microcontrollers, digital communication systems, and computer networks.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts; writes student laboratory exercises and conducts student laboratory sessions for courses taught.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' coursework, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of course work.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom (tutoring), assists in the planning and implementation of the continuous quality improvement plan at the department and program levels.</li>
<li>Assists in the ABET reaccreditation process.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean, or Department Chair.</li>

Part-Time Faculty Duties and Responsibilities

The part-time faculty member reports directly to the dean for assignments/duties and is responsible for:

<li>Beginning and ending all classes as schedules.</li>
<li>Organizing, assigning, and supervising learning activities of students in his/her classes.</li>
<li>Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and for informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate records of student attendance/participating and grades.</li>
<li>Reading Columbia State email and responding to student questions via email in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Meeting deadlines for all administrative requests such as submitting personnel paperwork, student enrollment</li>

      Part Time Faculty- Political Science

Job Summary
Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites.
This position will be primarily located on the Williamson Campus with classes taught during the day.
Minimum Qualifications
Instructor– Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry (or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry).
Lab Facilitator – Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry (or a related field with a minimum of 18 semester hours in Chemistry).

Qualifications:&nbsp;
Masters Degree or higher in a qualifying field or a Masters Degree or higher with 18 graduate semester hours in a qualifying field from an accredited institution, where the qualifying fields are Agriculture, Agribusiness, Ecology, Zoology, Biology, Botany, Agribusiness, or Agriculture Education.&nbsp; Three years teaching experience in an Agriculture related field is preferred.&nbsp; Experience with alternative delivery instructional modes recommended – hybrid, on ground, and online.&nbsp; &nbsp;

<li>Operate laboratory equipment such as autoclave, sterilizing oven, dishwasher, balances, filtration appliances, pH meters, timers, vortex mixers, etc.</li>
