General Function:&nbsp;
Provide high quality effective instruction in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus; Facilitate student learning, and perform evaluations of student learning for all assigned classes, using each course's standard course outline as a guide; Advise and mentor students about academic and career goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in Nursing and an unencumbered Tennessee Registered Nursing License.

Demonstrated experience teaching in multiple modalities including online, hybrid, and on-ground.&nbsp; Experience in online course development. Previous community college teaching experience. Nursing practice experience in various settings.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the description published in the current college catalog, the approved course syllabus, and the assigned schedule of classes.</li>
<li>Maintain a high level of professional competency by keeping abreast of current developments in one's field, including teaching techniques and forms of delivery. The college supports this activity by making funds available for professional development within budgetary constraints.</li>
<li>Assist in keeping the instructional program resources current by recommending additional library, laboratory, and instructional equipment and assisting in maintaining adequate resource materials for student use</li>
<li>Submit to the appropriate dean at the beginning of each term an outline for each course taught.</li>
<li>Cooperate with other instructors and curriculum chairs in implementing instructional procedures agreed upon and recommending textbook changes.</li>

Job Summary
This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty appointment reporting to the department chair of Engineering Technologies. This faculty position will support the Electrical Engineering Technology and Computer Engineering Technology programs. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities (developing and preparing curricula and instructional material; delivering lectures; initiating, facilitating and moderating class discussions to students on topics in electrical engineering technology and computer engineering technology). The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. Job Duties

<li>Prepares and delivers instruction to students on topics in electrical and computer engineering technology, including digital circuits, dc and ac circuits, electronics, digital industrial control systems, power technology, robotics, programmable logic controllers, microcontrollers, digital communication systems, and computer networks.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts; writes student laboratory exercises and conducts student laboratory sessions for courses taught.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' coursework, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of course work.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom (tutoring), assists in the planning and implementation of the continuous quality improvement plan at the department and program levels.</li>

Under the supervision of the Program Director and/or Lead Faculty, Adjunct Instructors have as their chief duty the instruction of assigned classes, providing quality instruction for student learning and maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom. Classes are taught in a variety of formats (virtual, online, hybrid, on-ground). Responsibilities for Adjunct Instructors include conducting classes using appropriate instructional practices, maintain records of attendance, evaluate student performance on assignments or lab activities, assign midterm grades, assign final grades, utilize faculty feedback, complete mandatory training as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. Job Summary
This is a full-time, academic-year (9-month) faculty appointment within the Communications, Graphic and Fine Arts department. The instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation (develop curricula and instructional material; prepare course syllabi), presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The Assistant Professor is also responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction; instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations.
Job Duties

<li>Advises and counsels students in academic and career fields.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>

Minimum Qualifications

<li>Master’s degree in Speech, Oratory/Rhetoric, Communication or Mass Communication or 18 graduate semester hours in Speech, Oratory/Rhetoric, Communication, Mass Communication or Speech-related Theatre courses plus a Master’s degree in any discipline. 
</li>
<li>Two (2) years of teaching or equivalent experience 
</li>
<li>A background check will be required for the successful candidate.</li>
