This is a full-time, academic, faculty term appointment in the Allied Health Department. The Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. Job Duties

<li>Prepares and delivers lectures.</li>

<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, assignments, tests, and papers; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking advice on class work, assignments, papers, and others.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records.</li>
<li>Maintains current license/certification in profession.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>Advises and counsels students in academic and career fields.</li>
<li>Review and update curriculum, assessments, student learning outcomes, and program learning outcomes on a regular basis as per accreditation standards.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head/Dean.</li>

Minimum Qualifications

<li>Baccalaureate degree required (BSRT preferred).

<li>Progress towards a Master’s degree with completion in accordance with JRCERT accreditation requirement deadlines.

<li>Two (2) years experience as an instructor preferred. 
</li>
<li>Has an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification in Radiologic Technology. 
</li>
<li>Equivalent of three (3) years full-time experience in the professional discipline.

Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. <h4>Homestead-Miami Speedway has been open since 1995 following an initiative to spur economic recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew.
